While my STi will surely have over 200K on it if I ever wanted to sell it in the future , it makes me happy to know that these fetch silly money in general on BaT. Assuming I don't get crashed into by some idiot and I keep maintaining it and don't mod it, my odds are pretty good for retaining value AND getting to enjoy the heck out of it.

It’s only going up as more and more individuals who read/watched about these but couldn't attain one for various reasons stay to gather the means. This, the Evo and the s2000 are gonna rock.

That's one of the reasons I've thought about sourcing an oem trunk with spoiler. I enjoy the wingless look for my daily use, makes it less of a cop magnet. But I think furthering the "unmodified" aspect would be a good thing. There's potential I could move to Europe in a few years time so the car would probably not come with me in that scenario. 20ish mpg and most places in Europe would be a bad time lol.

Most European cities have mass transit that make that car a luxury, which is what it is. Keep it, take it to Europe, go around the ring, bring it back. Tell grandkids how the bad smelling car was awesome.
You may get money out of it, but those cars are already ones I hear of people regretting selling unless they went in
over their heads on mods.
